Title: Dispatch Supervisor
Pay Rate: $26.00 – $31.00 per hour, based on experience

Responsibilities:

Coordinate the Work and Activities of EMTs.

Conduct yourself in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner at all times when dealing with patients, co-workers, supervisors and/or the public

Receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls in CAD system

Provide top tier customer service to medical facilities, the public, and our EMTs

Gather and verify billing information including full patient demographics, insurance information, eligibility, and authorization required by insurance, medical necessity, and payers

Maintain professional demeanor in office and while on the phone with customers

Dispatch ambulances to scheduled runs to ensure appropriate medical level of transport care to area facilities

Intake a large call volume and triage to determine appropriate level of care and coordinate transport

Display knowledge of appropriate medical terminology and conditions

Plans, manages and reviews the work of assigned dispatch staff for the Jefferson Transfer Center and King of Prussia

Schedules staff to provide coverage on a 24-hour, 7-day basis

Participates in the selection of assigned staff

Provides for the training of staff in work procedures

Evaluates performance and provides for staff discipline as required

Develops and implements goals, objectives, policies, procedures and work standards for the division

Provides for the installation, upgrading, maintenance, operation and staff training for all dispatch hardware and software

Coordinates the dispatch services of the markets to ensure timely and efficient patient delivery to the standards set forth by Ambulnz

Maintains a healthy relationship with all clients

Stays current with the EMS laws, regulations and developments

Prepares a variety of periodic and special reports as required

Reports to the Director(s) of Operations within the market(s)

Oversees compliant Call Taking, Dispatch and Pre-Billing functions for the assigned market

Excellent verbal communication skills.

Perform other duties as required/assigned.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
-
Proven experience as a dispatcher in a relevant field (EMS/Clinical background is preferred)

Tech-savvy with knowledge of computer aided dispatch software (CAD)

Fast typing (30 words/minute)

Proficient in English (oral and written)

3+ years of EMS experience

Experience as an EMS dispatcher
-
Previous experience as an EMT (preferred)
